Physical Therapy Milestones
Does my child need
Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapy focuses on helping children who have been injured or have movement problems due to disease, illness, or disability. Our physical therapists help develop the gross motor skills needed for children to effectively interact with their environment. They focus on assessment and intervention of gross motor skills such as crawling, walking, running and jumping that are often effected by a variety of a diagnosis and general developmental delays. Ages from infant to high school can likely benefit from skilled physical therapy intervention to address pain, progress mobility and improve optimal function. As our comprehensive approach, we offer early intervention, school-based services, and outpatient clinical services.

The developmental milestones provided here can be used as a general guideline to monitor your child’s progress with gross motor skills. "My daughter has been coming here for the majority of her life. If it wasn't for the speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists at Foundations, my daughter would not have progressed as far as she has. We absolutely love everyone there, even the front office staff. Thank you for caring for each of your clients, including my daughter."
